Katie & Vincent have acquired their expertise through many years of training, competition, mentorship and practice. They specialize in working with dedicated riders who really want to feel how their body affects the horse; who want to feel more confident, more in control and more connected to their horse.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned competitor; whether you are interested in dressage or jumping, LAEM can help you. So often there is a disconnect between the language being used in your lessons and your ability to feel and experience what these concepts mean in your body. When what you hear stays in your head and you cannot apply it to your body, it is time for a new approach.
Having studied the biomechanics of riding for years, Katie can often bring fresh light to a subject that is just not “clicking” for her riders. Meanwhile, Vincent’s years of backing young horses helps bring a true sense of balance between obedience, focus, and enjoyment for the horse and rider. All of this is designed to bring out the most in your partnership with your horse.
Teaching has become a real passion of both Vincent and Katie. They love to witness the transformation when a rider truly “gets” a training concept and has that “ah ha” moment in the saddle. With that in mind, there are a few questions every rider should ask themselves continually, to ensure they are still learning:
Do you feel like you are “stuck” in your riding?
Is there a piece of the puzzle that’s just not “working”?
Are you open to giving it a good try, and thinking about your approach differently?
If you answered “yes” to even one of the above questions, you should give LAEM a try.
Together we can explore your goals and work on a plan as how we can best help you and your horse achieve success!
